A native of Greenville South Carolina, Elder Russell is the son of Dorothy Russell. He is married to Apostle Trayce Carter Russell and to their union three children Jessica Brown, Treasure and Trenton Russell and two grandchildren Devon & Grace Hairston 

Elder Russell has been saved since he was 9 years old and has served in many different capacities of the ministry under the leadership of Pastor Teresa L. Bufford. In his serving he realized that God had more planned for him. In December 2010 he began his start of walking into ministry, not knowing that the Lord would one day call his wife to Pastor. Stepping out on faith he walked beside his wife as they launched the ministry of Fresh Anointed on February 28, 2016. On April 30, 2017 he became a licensed minister of the gospel. 

As he served beside his wife, he found his hand doing anything that was needed in the ministry from sound, parking, cleaning, preach, and teaching. On June 24, 2018 Minister Russell was elevated to the office of Elder in the Lords Church. Elder Russell has always been a servant of the most high God. While not looking for God to move him any quicker than he already had, the Lord spoke to Pastor Trayce Russell and said the time is now! On Jan 1, 2020 Elder Travis Russell was elevated to Pastor of Fresh Anointed Ministries. Pastor Travis is a man after Gods own heart and only wants to be pleasing to Him.
